Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our DJs only take requests if you allow it. If allowed, our DJs will “filter” requests. They “filter” requests by not playing songs or genres that you specifically asked them not to play. If someone makes a request that fits in well with what the DJ is playing at the time, and with the music that YOU want, then the DJ will try to oblige.

  • You can pick the songs you want to hear, and the ones that you do not want to hear for your event. We have an app that you can use to facilitate this for your event.

  • We would like for you to give your DJ a list of 25-30 songs consisting of different genres and artists that you would like, and a list of songs that you do not want to hear. This will give your DJ an idea of what kind of music you would like for the different parts of your event.

  • Sure, but we would prefer to get the music file(s) in advance prior to the date of your event. If you plan on doing this, please consider the audience of your event.

Music and Requests

  • For a wedding, it is recommended that you book a DJ at least six to twelve months before the wedding date. For school and corporate events, three to six months is plenty of time. If you need something last minute, we’ll have DJs ready.

  • We offer ceremony audio for weddings, dance floor lighting, and photo booths, C02 cannons, and other ehancements.

Services

  • A $500 deposit is due to reserve the date of your event. The remainder of the balance is due 7-10 days prior to your event. Payment can be made via the app, credit card, debit card, or by check.

  • We do not include gratuity in the final contract price, however, we recommend that you tip at least 10-20% if you feel your DJ did an outstanding job. Each DJ is equipped with a card “swiper” and can accept tips or additional payments during or after the event.

  • Yes, our DJs can play past the contracted time, but payment will be due at that time.

  • We only use top-of-the-line, brand-name equipment. We also bring our own DJ Booths, lighting, and other enhancements to fit your vision for your event. We also carry a photo booth, uplighting, and projectors to make your event truly unique.

  • We have a network of DJs who can be contacted if needed. All money previously paid will go to hiring a new DJ if for some reason the previous DJ was unable to attend your event. Although, in over 20 years, something like this has never happened. If an event is delayed due to COVID restrictions, any money paid on top of the retainer fee will be refunded. The retainer fee is used in order to hold another date with Mac Events.

  • Yes! We’ve worked events in ad around Chicago, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati. We travel across the Midwest for weddings and private events. Please include your location in your contact form!
